Then we commission every zone and document it.

Lighting plan review
We take the RCP and fixture schedule from your architect or lighting designer and assign every load to a zone, dimmer type and keypad.

Electrical coordination
Panel locations, homeruns and device boxes are coordinated with the electrician so the rough-in is right the first time.

Keypad design
Finishes with your designer, engraving for every button, and layouts reviewed with the family before anything is ordered.

Commissioning and tuning
Every zone is tested, dimming curves are tuned to the fixtures, scenes are set at the real times of day, and the system is documented.
Lighting control questions
What is the difference between Lutron HomeWorks and RadioRA 3?
HomeWorks QSX is Lutron's panelized, centralized system: the dimming happens in panels in a mechanical room, keypads replace banks of switches, and there is no practical limit to the number of zones. It is specified for new construction and full renovations. RadioRA 3 is wireless, installs in existing wall boxes without opening walls, and supports up to 200 devices — ideal for finished apartments and houses. Both use the same Lutron app, keypads and scene logic, and RadioRA 3 can be a stepping stone to HomeWorks later.
Do I need a licensed electrician for Lutron lighting?
Line-voltage work in New York must be performed by a licensed electrician, and we coordinate with yours (or bring one in) on panel locations, circuit homeruns and device boxes. JE Technology designs the system, specifies every load and keypad, programs it, and handles the low-voltage and control side.
What is Ketra and is it worth it?
Ketra is Lutron's tunable, full-spectrum lighting: the color temperature and intensity change through the day to follow natural light, with 95+ CRI for true rendering of art and finishes. If you care about how a room feels at 7am versus 9pm, or you have artwork and materials that deserve accurate color, it is worth seeing in person. We can arrange a demonstration.
Which keypads do you install?
Lutron Alisse, Palladiom, Aviena and seeTouch, plus Lutron-compatible Meljac keypads. We coordinate finishes with your designer, lay out engraving for every button, and match keypad hardware to Palladiom shade brackets where both are used.
Can lighting integrate with Savant or Control4?
Yes. Lutron is the lighting layer inside most of the Savant and Control4 homes we build. Scenes, schedules, shades and climate all run together, from one app and the same keypads.
