Motorized shades and drapery for New York homes
Lutron Palladiom, roller, roman, drapery, wood and honeycomb — whisper-quiet, perfectly aligned, and timed to your lighting and the sun. Measured, fabricated and installed by JE Technology.
Shades that move with the day, not with a remote.
Done well, motorized shades are the most-used automation in the house. They open with the morning, cut glare at the hour the sun hits the sofa, drop for a film, and close at dusk — without anyone thinking about it.
We specify Lutron because the motors are silent and the control is faultless. We handle measurement, fabric coordination, pocket and fascia details, wiring, installation and programming, and we align every shade in a bank so they travel together to the millimeter.

Architectural shading designed to be seen — or to disappear
Palladiom brackets and fascias are finished to match the Palladiom keypads, with concealed wiring and level-perfect alignment. Specify exposed hardware as a design element, or recess everything into a pocket.
- Ultra-quiet motors; seamless fascia and pocket options
- Tight alignment across large banks of windows
- Integrated with lighting scenes and astronomical schedules
- Hardware finishes matched to keypads and door hardware

Installed, aligned across each bank, limits set, and tied into scenes, schedules and the app.
Motorized shade questions
Wired or battery-powered motorized shades?
If walls are open or you are renovating, wired (low-voltage) shades are the right call: no batteries to change, quieter, faster, and they integrate directly with the lighting system. In a finished home, Lutron battery shades are excellent — typically three to five years per set of batteries with normal use — and still work with keypads, the app and schedules. We will tell you which is realistic for each window.
How quiet are Lutron motorized shades?
Palladiom and Lutron's Sivoia QS motors are among the quietest made — quiet enough for a bedroom at 6am. In a bank of windows we also align the shades so they move together and stop at exactly the same height.
Can shades work with my lighting scenes and the sun?
Yes. Shades become part of scenes ("Movie" lowers the blackout layer, "Good morning" raises the sheers) and follow an astronomical clock, so they track the sun through the seasons for glare and heat control.
Do you handle fabrics and measurement?
Yes. We measure every opening, coordinate fabric selection with your designer (solar screens, light-filtering, blackout and dual-shade combinations), specify fascias or pockets, and manage fabrication and installation. Drapery hardware and fabrication are coordinated with your workroom.
What is the lead time?
Lutron shades are made to order. Typical lead time is four to eight weeks from final measurement and fabric approval, so we schedule measurement as soon as window trim is complete and pocket details are confirmed.
